Doula Services

»What is a Doula?

A Doula is a trained labor support professional who provides educational, emotional and physical support to a mother and her partner throughout pregnancy, during childbirth and the postpartum period. My goal is to help families achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.

“If a doula were a drug it would be unethical not to use it.”

— Dr. John Kennell

»Confident Birth Discovery Meeting

Our free initial meeting is 30-45 minutes long for you and your birth partner. Share your desires for your upcoming birth as we get to know each other. This is a time for you to gather information to see if I am the best fit to support you during labor and birth. This meeting is virtual.

»Doula Services (In-Person)

I provide two prenatal visits, unlimited phone/email support throughout pregnancy, continuous in-person labor and birth support, and one postnatal visit.

»Prenatal Visits (In-Person)

Discuss your birth preferences, hopes and concerns. Review comfort techniques and positions for labor. Learn breathing techniques. Receive help creating your birth preferences.

»Labor and Birth (In-Person)

I am on call 24 hours a day starting three weeks before your Estimated Due Date until the birth of your baby. I provide emotional and physical support to women and their partners throughout labor and birth. I remain with you until about 1-2 hours after your baby is born.

»Postpartum Visit (In-Person)

For your post-birth support, five to ten days after your birth, I will visit to see how you and your baby are doing, answer any questions you have and provide resources you need in the postpartum period.
